when viewing a web page, when I click on a link, the window opens and then closes right away, preventing me from reading how to fix this. I am trying to find an apartment on craigslist. when i click on the yahoo or google map to see the location, the window flashes open and shut before i can view the map. this happens whether i have the pop up block on or not. How can i fix this? Help me please! Thanks Dianne

You appear to have malware.

Get adaware, spybot, windows defender. All are free.

Install them.

Run them.

re-boot in safe mode.

run them again, and run ad/remove programs.

the best thing you can do is to download mozilla firefox. IE is very poor web browser, but you need it, so don't uninstall it. Either way, i'd recommend you to use both, and you'll see how superior firefox is.
Buy a MAC.
